The Division of Thoracic Surgery, in conjunction with The Breath and Lung Institute at Hackensack University Medical Center, offers a variety of lung screenings throughout the year to identify pulmonary diseases as early as possible. Early discovery and intervention lead to the best possible outcome for patients.

We also offer the Healthy Lungs Program, a free support group for those experiencing such disorders as shortness of breath, wheezing, chronic cough, asthma or emphysema. All are welcome to attend, particularly current smokers, former smokers, and those who were exposed to second-hand smoke.
